About the Compare Law Schools Tool

Compare law schools side-by-side using Law School Transparency data.

Whether you’re trying to get a feel for law school offerings, choosing where to apply, or deciding where to attend, you may find it helpful to directly compare schools to see how they stack up when it comes to cost of attendance, salaries, job outcomes, admissions stats, enrollment information, and other important statistical factors. LawHub’s Compare Law Schools tool lets you compare two to four schools at a time, placing key information you need to know together in one place.

Using this resource is simple:

  • Select the names of at least two law schools that you want to compare.

  • The tool displays side-by-side comparisons across four tabs: Snapshot, Jobs, Admissions, and Environment. As you compare schools, you can switch between tabs for more detailed information in each category.

  • At the top of each tab, you’ll see the law school’s name and a link to the full school profile, as well as a Job Score (how close a school’s job outcomes are to your goals) and your likelihood of admission (based on LSAT scores and GPA) if you previously provided this information using the Find Your Law School tool.

It’s easy to add or remove law schools to compare, allowing you to quickly skim many options before diving deeper into the schools that seem like the best fit for your interests, priorities, and goals.

Be sure to click on a school’s name to open up full details about the school on LawHub. While the Compare Law Schools tool is helpful as a starting point, additional information and context will help you make informed choices along your journey to law school.
