The LSAT is an important part of your legal education journey. Studies have consistently shown the LSAT to be the single best predictor of first-year law school success. It’s also the only test that will help you determine if law school is right for you. That’s why you should take the LSAT to maximize your chance of admission and be best prepared for what’s ahead.
Where to Take the LSAT
At a Test Center
The vast majority of test takers have the option of taking the LSAT at a digital test center. If this is your preferred option, get more details about taking the LSAT at a test center.
Remotely
If you’d rather take the LSAT in an online, live remotely proctored environment, LSAC also offers this option. Find out more, including technical requirements and other details.
Components of the LSAT
The LSAT is the only standardized test designed specifically for law school admission, and it’s designed in partnership with law schools to assess the skills most needed for law school success: critical reasoning, reading comprehension, and persuasive writing.
The multiple-choice part of the LSAT is comprised of four sections. It’s important to familiarize yourself with the different types of LSAT questions, so you can optimize your test preparation and put yourself in a position to succeed. All LSAT takers are also required to complete a written essay, known as LSAT Argumentative Writing.
